Do one thing every day that scares you!

I love this motto, and even though I might not do it every day, I try to live by it. I do not want my own ego or fears to hold me back. Of course, that is easier said than done, but it is a work in progress. I think that due to this motto or attitude, I have experienced the most valuable things in my life; travelling, living in other countries, trying new fields of work, studying in a different language, making new friends, starting to teach yoga. If I had not tried to live by that motto, I had never had the chance to meet and marry the love of my life, which was a long and complicated process for so many reasons, among those, the distance.  So, I do believe that good things come out living with that motto in heart.

Right now I am following a handstand yoga challenge on Instagram. Not because I think yoga should be a competition, on the contrary, it is important to always cherish your body and listen to your limitations. That being said, I want to learn to do a handstand, which I am really a bit afraid of. I am afraid to fall. This challenge is helping me to try what I normally would avoid. Practicing is the key…and trying to do the thing that scares me:-)
