Island trip in Stockholm

My mom and I went to Stockholm and took the boat out to the sea, to one of the many Islands in Skjærgården. I love Stockholm. Not only does it bring back good memories from childhood (I lived close to there my first 6 years), it’s architecture is gorgeous and all the bridges and water makes it very much come alive, particularly in summer.

So, we enjoyed lunch and a little walk on the Island, went through Old Town (Gamla Stan) with it’s cozy and narrow streets and a number of nice places to sit down for food or drinks.

Oh, and I got myself a new hat in the Old Town – I have a thing for them these days, and they are great in the heat.

Like it?
